Timothy J. Miller, partner and general counsel at Novack and Macey LLP, has been named to the faculty of a two-day seminar presented by the Practising Law Institute (PLI). Tim will discuss “Ethical Issues in Licensing” and cover the following topics:
- Candor and deceit
- Communicating with an adverse party
- Out-of-state practice and the unauthorized practice of law
- Competence to handle negotiation
- Application of rules in actual cases
This program is designed for intellectual property specialists, corporate counsel and general practitioners who are engaged in intellectual property law and are interested in learning how to license and protect various forms of intellectual property. The program can be attended in-person at the University of Chicago - Gleacher Center, 450 N Cityfront Plaza Dr, Chicago or via webinar and offers up to 12 CLE hours including one hour of professional liability.
