We are proud to announce partner Rebekah H. Parker has been chosen as an inaugural honoree of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer’s “Women in Law” Award.  The award recognizes 50 women leaders in Chicago’s legal community for their success, leadership, and work to advance other women.

Rebekah is among 50 women lawyers selected out of 500 peer nominations. Honorees were chosen by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer’s selection committee and Women’s Advisory Board for their work to mentor and promote other women in the profession, their success in the legal community, and for setting a shining example of leadership. In 2019, Rebekah was named to Chicago Daily Law Bulletin's "40 Under Forty Attorneys in Illinois to Watch" list.

Rebekah is co-chair of Novack and Macey's Women's Initiative, a group dedicated to the professional development and advancement of the firm's female attorneys. She is also co-chair of the firm's pro bono practice where she does extensive pro bono work representing students in due process proceedings. Rebekah is a Board member of the Next Generation and a member of the Lawyers’ Committee, both of which support the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. She is a member of the Harvard Law School Women’s Alliance of Chicago and the Chicago Council of Lawyers, a public interest bar association.

Co-founding partner Eric Macey said, "Rebekah (or Beka to us) has transformed our firm’s commitment to expanding women attorney’s opportunities in managing cases, mentoring and client development.  She is also the go-to person for our women attorneys who need advice on the herculean task of raising a family and working full-time.  And she is committed to aiding in recruiting and retaining female attorneys, which can be difficult for a commercial litigation boutique like ours.  Her recognition as an inaugural honoree of the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer’s “Women in Law” Award is well deserved."
