We are proud to sponsor Marillac St. Vincent’s first annual Career Fair on Saturday, February 9 at the Foglia Family & Youth Center. The program will provide Marillac students with the opportunity to interact with successful professionals including attorneys, teachers, filmmakers/producers, television news anchors, Chicago police officers, and professional athletes who have all overcome social and economic challenges. Some of these professionals have attended community college, are working towards finishing their bachelors, or have professional degrees and will be sharing their education and career experiences.
Attorney Brittney Cato has served as Outreach Director for Marillac’s Associate Board for the past three years. In an effort to expand her role and enhance what she does for the organization, she came up with the idea to create this educational event specifically for Marillac’s students. Brittney noted, “I wanted to organize an event that would inspire and challenge the children and provide them with the opportunity to interact with successful and relatable professionals, and to learn, by example, how to overcome their own challenges in pursuit of their passions and goals. We hope to inspire our students and challenge the way they see their futures.”
Date: Saturday, February 9, 2019
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Location: Foglia Family & Youth Center, 2859 W Jackson Blvd, Chicago, Illinois
