Novack and Macey LLP partner Richard L. Miller II was recently interviewed by Smart Business Chicago, a regional journal that provides insight and advice to executives of middle-market and large companies. The resulting article, “Emergency Relief: How to obtain immediate assistance from the courts with a temporary restraining order,” appears in the May 2011 issue.
During the course of the interview, Miller was asked to explain how a company can convince a court to provide it with immediate protection when its reputation or operations are seriously threatened. Specifically, Miller addresses the steps that must be taken to obtain a court order prohibiting, for example, a competitor or former employee from engaging in improper conduct.
